Rick Kempe

Rick Kempe BS,MA - Managing Member
TYREK INNOVATIONS, LLC

Rick grew up on the Kempe Farm established in 1930 by his grandfather E. A.  Kempe. He attended North East Missouri State University ( now known as Truman State University) graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Ag-business and a masters degree in Human Resources management. He worked for Ralston Purina and Cargill as a grain merchandiser and ultimately enjoyed a long career in healthcare working for Blessing Corporate Services, Inc., a Quincy IL based health system. Over the years he held various positions culminating with the positions of Executive Vice president/ Chief Strategy officer of BCS and president of Denman Services , Inc. a for profit subsidiary of BCS. Upon his retirement Rick rejoined and planted his roots back into Kempe Farms. Rick is married to his wife Terri who served 40 years in the banking business. Terri and Rick have two sons and they have four wonderful grandchildren-Evie, Charlie, Jerix and Calvin. Rick and Terri are long time members of the Crossing Church in Quincy, IL. Rick and Terri enjoy traveling and using their pool when time permits.

Tyler Shirey

Tyler Shirey - Innovation Member

Tyler graduated from Canton, MO High School and the University of Hard Knocks. He spent several years working for Frederick Custom Harvesting in Kansas before moving back home and joining Kempe Farms. At Kempe Farms, Tyler manages a number of things including seed selection and purchasing, precision planting, chemical selection and spraying logistics, crop insurance management and terrace installation. Tyler is married to his wife Kayla and they have two sons, Kelby and Kacey. His family attends the Queen of Peace catholic Church in Ewing MO. Kayla works in Information Systems at Blessing Hospital In Quincy , IL. Tyler is an avid hunter and Kayla enjoys gardening and canning.
