How to use NH3BARDEFENSE™ Tool:
Before using NH3BARDEFENSE™ tool, be sure to bleed/relieve pressure off cooler and valve system before beginning the clean-out process.
1. Turn controller on and open control valves.
2. Attach single or double barrel to hose coupler(s). Attach air supply to male fitting to clean out/force any debris or nitrogen/stabilizer product through to tube system and out of the toolbar/applicator knives.
3. Remove single or double barrel tool and elevate the couplers and hoses chest high.
4. With a funnel, a protective solution (we prefer WD-40) is poured into the coupler(s) and hoses. The amount of solution is dependent on the number of knives and size of toolbar/applicator. Example: We utilize 19 knife toolbars/applicators with dual couplers and suggest approximately 1 gallon of solution per coupler/hose. Initially use 1/2 gallon of WD-40 solution per coupler/hose as this step will be repeated to finalize the process at the end.
5. Keeping coupler(s) elevated, reattach single or double barrel tool to coupler(s). Apply air for approximately ten seconds.
6. Remove single or double barrel tool. Open the filter(s)/screen(s) (located near the cooler) and check for debris. Clean screens if necessary. Reapply filter/screens.
7. Repeat Step #4 and apply the remaining 1/2 gallon of WD-40 solution to each coupler/hose and attach air pressure until solution begins to exit the applicator knives.
8. Remove single barrel or double barrel tool and you have a clean and protected toolbar/applicator.
